Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in Onondaga County Parks. In Onondaga Lake Park, pets are not permitted on the East Shore Trail (wheels only) during the peak season of April to October. Dogs are allowed on the Shoreline Walking Trail. There are off leash areas at Wegmans Good Dog Park and Jamesville Beach Park. Pets are not allowed at Beaver Lake Nature Center, Rosamond Gifford Zoo or NBT Bank Stadium (unless for a specially designated pet friendly event), on athletic fields, playgrounds, on the beaches or in buildings.
