Ohio State Parks Pet Policy: Pets are allowed in Ohio State Parks, but must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet in length and must be under control at all times. Proof of rabies shots and a physical description of the animals is required upon request. Pets are not permitted in swimming beaches. Many parks have designated areas for dogs — dog parks and/or dog swim areas. All state park campgrounds allow pets (a maximum of two pets is permitted per campsite) and many have designated areas for pets. Many cabins and lodge rooms are pet-friendly. Look for the “pets welcome” notice when booking your reservation. There is generally an added fee for cabins that allow pets (it is charged whether you bring pets with you or not). Two pets max are allowed in a cabin.
