Located at 721 Bannack Rd., Dillon, MT 59725, Bannack State Park is a National Historic Landmark and the site of Montana’s first major gold discovery on July 28, 1862. The park has over 60 original structures still standing from the 1800s, including the old hotel, the governor’s mansion, and the Masonic Hall. Pets on a leash no longer than 8 feet are allowed in the park.
