Delaware State Parks Pet Policy: Pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in Delaware State Parks, but are not permitted in the following areas: picnic areas; bird nesting areas; cabins, with the exception of designated dog-friendly cabins; cottages, with the exception of designated dog-friendly cottages; park buildings; yurts; Fort Delaware State Park; and Killens Pond Water Park. Pets are allowed in seashore parks, but are only permitted on swimming and sunbathing beaches during the off-season, from Oct. 1st through April 30th. Pets are prohibited year-round at Beach Plum Island. Dogs are allowed in the following dog-friendly cabins and cottages:
Killens Pond State Park – 5025 Killens Pond Rd, Felton, DE 19943; Cabins 9 & 10.
Trap Pond State Park – 33587 Baldcypress Lane, Laurel, DE 19956; Cabins 9 & 10.
Indian River Marina at Delaware Seashore State Park – 39415 Inlet Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971; Cottages 11 and 12.
Off-leash areas are available in Lums Pond State Park and Rockford and Brandywine Parks only. All pets must be licensed, and proof of a rabies vaccination is required.
