All dogs must remain on a leash no longer than 6 feet (The Dog Park, located off Nevada St. at 950 Perozzi St., is the only area where dogs may be off leash). Dogs are not allowed in two Parks: Lithia Park, except for on leash around the outer edges of Lithia and on the “old Pioneer Street trail,” a walking trail that leads from the Parks office down to the topside of OSF (Oregon Shakespeare Festival) on Pioneer; and North Mountain Park, except for on leash in the southeast section (on the hill) of the park called Rocky Top. Dogs are not allowed in playground areas or ballfields. one of which is a two-acre fenced-in area where dogs can run off leash and socialize with other dogs.
