Located in east central Alaska along the border with Canada, Yukon–Charley Rivers National Preserve encompasses 130 miles of the 1,800-mile Yukon River and the entire Charley River basin. Pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the preserve; there are no closed areas to pets. Both communities of Eagle and Circle have strict pet leash policies. Keep pets leashed at all times in these areas as dog teams and kennels are prevalent.
