Located at 5031 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319, Portage Lakes Dog Park is adjacent to the Bay Side Picnic Area in Portage Lakes State Park. This fenced in 2 acre area features shade, benches, lake access for swimming, and provides owners the freedom of allowing their dogs to be off leash to run free, play fetch, socialize with other canines or go for a swim in the lake. The area includes a double gated dog introduction area, a common area and a lake area. It is open during park hours 7 days a week from daylight to dusk. All dogs must be non-aggressive and have current tags displaying up to date license and vaccines. Pets are not allowed on swimming beaches in the main park.
