In Central Park, from dawn until 9 a.m. and from 9 p.m. until park closing, dogs can be off-leash in any area that is not off-limits to dogs during other times of the day. Dogs are welcomed in most areas of the park when leashed. Signs throughout the park indicate areas where dogs are never allowed (e.g. the Sheep Meadow) and areas where dogs must be on leash at all times (e.g. the Ramble and the Bridle Path).
