Located at 5399 Minnehaha Park Drive S., Minneapolis, MN 55417, Minnehaha Off-Leash Dog Park is on the south end of Minnehaha Regional Park along the Mississippi River. It features woodland, river shore, open fields, and marked paths. A trail through the woods leads to a sandy beach along the Mississippi River where dogs can swim. Entrance located at East 54th Street and Hiawatha Avenue. Marked trails within the park leads to the off-leash area and markers along the park property line let dog park users know when they are leaving the dog park and entering National Park Service (NPS) land. The Recreation Area itself is off leash, but not the paths leading there. The NPS enforces a national leash law for pets.
