There are 12 campgrounds in Yellowstone National Park. Overnight camping of any type (tent, vehicle, or RV) outside designated campgrounds is not permitted. Pets are allowed in the front country areas of the park, including any areas within 100 feet of roads, parking areas, and campgrounds. Pets must be kept under physical control at all times – caged, crated, or on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Pets are not permitted in the backcountry and on trails and boardwalks.
