Located on the Buttersville Peninsula at 991 S. Lakeshore Dr., Ludington, MI 49431, Buttersville Park Campground offers primitive and electric hookup RV and tent camping in a county run park near the shores of Lake Michigan. The 60 site park is set in a densely forested setting on a knoll overlooking the beaches of Lake Michigan. Staircases lead down to the beach and ocean waters. The campground is seasonal and open from May 15th to October 15th. There are modern restrooms and showers, a dump and fill station and free wifi. Trash and recycling receptacles located throughout the park. A playground is centrally located. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring provided. Reservations are first come first served and can be made online or in person at the campground office or by calling 231-843-2114 during business hours. There is a 3 day minimum and a 14 day maximum with the first 3 days and a $5 reservation fee due at the time of the reservation, which is non-refundable. Dogs on a leash are allowed in the campground and on the beach.
