At Grand Canyon National Park Campgrounds, pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in Mather Campground, Desert View Campground, and Trailer Village. Located in Grand Canyon Village on the South Rim, Mather Campground offers tent and RV camping and is open year round. There are 327 sites; each includes a campfire ring/cooking grate, picnic table, parking space and room for up to six people, three tents, and two vehicles. There are flush toilets and drinking water throughout the campground. No hookups are available, however there is a free dump station. Adjacent to Mather Campground, Trailer Village is the only in-park RV campground with full hookups (sewage, water, and electrical with 30 amp and 50 amp sites available). A dump station (closed during the winter months) is located near Mather Campground. Desert View Campground offers 49 campsites and is open May 1st through mid-October. Most sites are sized to accommodate tents or smaller RV’s, or vehicles with small travel trailers (30 ft. total length). Pets are allowed in all three areas, but must be leashed at all times.
