Located at 500 San Simeon-Monterey Creek Rd., Cambria, CA 93428, Hearst San Simeon State Park Campgrounds offer camping, picnicking, hiking, fishing, surfing, beach walking, bird watching, and whale watching. San Simeon Creek Campground, located just a short walk from the beach, has 115 campsites for tent camping or recreational vehicles. The maximum length for an RV is 35 feet. Each campsite has a fire ring and picnic table. Water spigots are available throughout the campground. Restrooms with flush toilets and coin operated showers, a dump station and water fill-up for RV’s, and pay phones are also available. The more secluded Washburn Campground is approximately one mile inland from the beach on a plateau overlooking the Santa Lucia mountains and the ocean. Each campsite has a fire ring and picnic table. Water spigots, chemical flush toilets, and a RV sanitation station and water fill-up are available nearby at San Simeon Creek Campground. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the campgrounds. All pets must be in a tent or vehicle during the night and in the immediate control of the owner at all times. Pets not allowed on trails or on the beach in San Simeon State Park, but are permitted on the boardwalk on Moonstone Beach Drive.
