Austin F. Hawes Memorial Campground is located in American Legion State Forest off Rte. 20 or Rte. 318, Barkhamsted, CT 06063. It offers 30 RV/tent sites in a wooded setting. The camping season begins in mid-April and ends Columbus Day. Amenities: Wooded sites with picnic table, fire ring, and grate; bathhouses with hot showers, dishwashing, and potable water; firewood and ice available on-site; dumping station. Pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the campground. Limit of one pet per site.
