Alturas Inlet Campground is located on the shores of scenic Alturas Lake at the foot of the Sawtooth Mountain Range. It is composed of 28 campsites including 8 double-sites. This site accepts reservations which can be made at www.recreation.gov or by calling (877) 444-6777. A day use beach and picnic area is located within walking distance of the campground on the north side of the lake. Dogs on a leash no longer than 10 feet are allowed in the campground. Dogs are not allowed in the beach areas, but there is a dog beach next to the human beach. Directions: Directions: From Stanley, go south 21 miles on ID 75, then west about 4 miles on Forest Road 205.
