York Town Beaches include the following public beaches:
Cape Neddick Beach – located at the mouth of the Cape Neddick River.
Long Sands Beach – located at Long Beach Avenue – Route 1A, York Beach, ME 03910; halfway between the villages of York Harbor and York Beach.
Short Sands Beach – located at Ocean Avenue – Route 1A, York Beach, ME 03910; between rocky cliffs in the village of York Beach.
Harbor Beach – located at York Street/Route 1A, York Harbor, ME 03911.
From May 20th through September 20th no dogs are allowed on the beaches between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Between May 20th and September 20th dogs on a leash are allowed on the beaches from 6 p.m. to sunrise. Between May 20th and September 20th dogs are allowed off-leash on the beaches between sunrise and 8 a.m. as long as the dog is under the voice control of its owner or responsible party. Horses and ponies are prohibited from being on these beaches from May 20th to September 20th,
