OFF-LEASH DOG BEACH. Located at 225 Sheridan Road, Winnetka, IL 60093, Centennial Dog Beach, operated by the Winnetka Park District, is a swimming beach on Lake Michigan. Accessed by an electronic gate and steps, the sand and water provide a place where unleashed dogs can play. A dog wash station is located at the top of the stairway. Anyone wishing to bring his/her dog to the dog beach must have a valid pass. Dogs must be leashed at all times while in the park (Centennial Park is not part of the dog beach); they may be released from their leash only when they enter the fenced-in area leading to the beach. There is a limit of two dogs per person at the beach at a time.
