OFF-LEASH DOG BEACH. Gillson Dog Beach is located at the south end of Gillson Park in Wilmette, IL. South Entrance: Sheridan Rd & Michigan Ave. Dogs must have a permit to use the Dog Beach and must be on leash at all times in the park while on their way to the dog beach. All other times they may be off-leash. The beach has specific hours. To use the Dog Beach owners must purchase a tag for their dog. Permits may be purchased at the Park District Administrative Office in Village Hall, 1200 Wilmette Ave. Permit tags are good for one year.
