Located at 2660 Beach Road, Watsonville, CA 95076, Palm State Beach, in south Santa Cruz County near the mouth of the Pajaro River, is a day-use area of Sunset State Beach with its own entrance. The wide beach is three miles long and features pine trees, sand dunes, and ocean side picnic spots. Directions: Go past Manresa State Beach on San Andreas Road and continue past Sunset State Beach. Turn right on Beach Road toward the ocean. Dogs on a leash are allowed only on the beach between the Pajaro Dunes condos and the Pajaro Dunes houses, but not up coast or down coast from the residences.
