Dogs on a leash are allowed on beaches any time after Labor Day and before that third Saturday in June. From April 1 to August 31 of every year, dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet and under control by their owner or master at all times at the following Town beaches if it is determined that unleashed dogs pose a legitimate threat to piping plovers or terns and their habitat: Fisher Beach, Ryder Beach, Corn Hill Beach, Head of the Meadow, Coast Guard, Long Nook, and Ballston.
