Surfside Beach Village Beach is located in southern Brazoria County on the southwestern tip of Follet’s Island. The Village of Surfside Beach is bordered to the southeast by the Gulf of Mexico and to the southwest by the entrance to Freeport Harbor. Dogs on a leash are allowed on the beach year-round. Horses are allowed on the beach during weekends from April 1 through May 15 and September 15 through October 31. Horses are allowed on the beach every day from November 1 through March 31.
