Rehoboth Beach City Beach is bordered on the east by the Atlantic Ocean, on the north by the town of Henlopen Acres, and on the west and south by unincorporated portions of Sussex County. Cape Henlopen State Park lies just to the north of Rehoboth Beach, and Dewey Beach is just to its south. Dogs on a leash are allowed on the beach and boardwalk from September 16-May 14. From May 15-September 15, dogs are not allowed on the beach or boardwalk. The City has both a leash law and a pooper scooper law which are enforced.
