Old Orchard Beach Town Beach includes seven miles of public beach consisting of all that land lying easterly of the line dividing the beach from the upland creating a public park along the beach. The famous Old Orchard Beach Pier is located in the center of the beach, with lots of exciting activities for all ages. From Memorial Day through Labor Day of each year, dogs on a leash are only allowed on the beach before 10 a.m. and after 5 p.m. (before 9 a.m. and after 5 p.m. in Ocean Park). During the rest of the year dogs are allowed on the beach at any time. Within the public way from the top of Old Orchard Street to the beach, which includes the area known as the square, dogs are not permitted during the period from Memorial Day to Labor Day from the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.
