Located 2 miles north of Mendocino, Russian Gulch State Park features a sandy beach below the Highway 1 bridge where Russian Gulch Creek flows into a narrow cove. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed on the beach, at the picnic area, in the campground, and on paved park roads and trails west of Highway 1. Dogs are not permitted on Fern Canyon Trail or trails east of Highway 1.
