Located on the Buttersville Peninsula at 1100 S Lakeshore Dr, Ludington, MI 49431, Buttersville Park Beach is a day park high on a bluff between Lake Michigan and Pere Marquette Lake. There is a picnic area with grills, playground, restrooms, and a pavilion. Steps lead down to the expansive Lake Michigan beach, with a view of the Ludington North Breakwater Lighthouse in the distance. The Buttersville Park Campground is located next door at 991 S Lakeshore Dr., Ludington, MI 49431. Directions: From Ludington, take Old 31 Highway across the PM River, and turn right on Iris Road. Follow Iris to the “T” in the road, and turn right onto S. Lakeshore Drive. Located a short distance past Historic White Pine Village on your left. Dogs on a leash are allowed on the beach.
