Lewes City Beaches include bay and ocean beaches off of Cape Henlopen Drive. Savannah Beach and Johnnie Walker Beach, part of the city’s park system, includes an area about 1/3-mile long, separated by a dune, with parking at each beach. Both beach locations have restrooms and shower facilities. From May 1st till September 30th dogs on a leash are permitted only before 8:00 a.m. and after 6:30 p.m. Horses prohibited on beaches from the first day of April 1st until September 30th.
