Located at 15099 Cape Henlopen Drive, Lewes, DE 19958, Cape Henlopen State Park attracts thousands of visitors who enjoy everything from ocean swimming, boating, fishing, and kayaking to clamming, paddle-boarding and wind-surfing. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the park, but are not permitted on swimming and sunbathing beaches from May 1 to September 30. Park rules and regulations also restrict pets from areas such as surfboarding and sailboarding beaches and shorebird nesting areas. All dogs must be licensed, and proof of a rabies vaccination is required.
