Kelleys Island State Park is located on the northern shores of Kelleys Island, along Lake Erie. The island is in the western basin of Lake Erie, about four miles north of Marblehead and twelve miles from Sandusky in Erie County. Dogs are not allowed at the swimming beach, but leashed dogs can use the “long-beach” section of the park. A ferry ride is required to get the island; leashed dogs are allowed on the Kelley’s Island Ferry.
