Jug Handle State Natural Reserve is located on the north coast of California about equal distance (five miles) between Fort Bragg and Mendocino in Mendocino County. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed on beach and headland trails west of Highway 1. Dogs not allowed on Staircase Trail or areas east of Highway 1.
