Located at 2555 Sea Island Parkway, Hunting Island, SC 29920, Hunting Island State Park is a secluded barrier island 15 miles east of Beaufort, SC. It offers five miles of pristine beaches, thousands of acres of marsh and maritime forest, a saltwater lagoon and ocean inlet. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed on the beach and on the trails, but are not permitted in the cabins or the cabin areas, or on the pier or inside the lighthouse complex. Dogs are not permitted on the tip of North Beach past the posted markers to protect critical shorebird habitat.
