Located at 6360 Chilson Road, Howell, MI 48843, Brighton Recreation Area provides a combination of high, irregular ranges of hills, interspersed with a number of lakes. There are two picnic areas, one at Bishop Lake which is ADA accessible and one at Chilson Pond. There is a pet-friendly section of shoreline available on Chilson Pond. Dogs must be on a six foot leash and under an owner’s immediate control at all times. Directions: Take I-96 to exit 140 at Latson road. Take Latson road south to Chilson Road. Continue south on Chilson road to Bishop Lake road.
