Eastham Town Beaches include seven bay beaches, three freshwater ponds, Dyer Prince Area and Hemenway Landing. Town-managed bayside beaches: Boat Meadow Beach, Campground Beach, Coast Guard Beach, Cooks Brook Beach, Dyer Prince Beach, First Encounter Beach, Great Pond, Herring Brook Beach, Kingsbury Beach, Sunken Meadow Beach, Thumpertown Beach, and Wiley Park. First Encounter Beach, Cooks Brook Beach and Wiley Park have seasonal bath houses. All other Town-owned public beaches and ponds (except Dyer Prince) are equipped with portable toilets. All beaches require parking stickers or a day pass. Dogs are not allowed on any of the beaches or in parking lots at any time from June 15th through Labor Day. Under National Seashore rules, dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed only away from bathing areas and bird-nesting sites. They are not allowed on lifeguard-protected Seashore (ocean) beaches but may pass through those areas to beach areas where people are not congregating. Dogs are not permitted in posted areas during shorebird nesting, staging, and migrating periods, and dogs may not pass through those areas.
