Cape Lookout National Seashore Beaches are located on the Southern Outer Banks, or Crystal Coast of North Carolina, running from Ocracoke Inlet on the northeast to Beaufort Inlet on the southeast. Three undeveloped barrier islands make up the seashore – North and South Core Banks and Shackleford Banks. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed on the beaches and may be allowed on some public ferries (check with ferry operators). With the exception of the Great Island and Long Point Cabins, pets are not allowed inside any buildings.
