Beach Haven Borough Beaches are located towards the southern end of Long Beach Island, a barrier island along the Atlantic Ocean coast of Ocean County, NJ. Guarded beaches are located at 12 Street; Taylor Ave.; 5th Street; 2nd Street; Centre Street; Engleside Ave.; Pearl Street; Belvoir Ave.; Essex Ave.; Between Liberty & Pelham Ave.; and Between Kentford & Leeward Ave. Dogs on a leash are allowed on the beach only during the off-season, from September 16th until May 14th. Any other time is prohibited. There is a small dog beach located at the bay on Taylor Avenue.
