Avalon Borough Beaches are located on Seven Mile Island, a barrier island on the Jersey Shore along the Atlantic Ocean. The borough of Avalon borders the Cape May County municipalities of Dennis Township, Middle Township, Sea Isle City and Stone Harbor, as well as the Atlantic Ocean. Dogs are not permitted on the beach, boardwalk, or dunes anytime between March 1st and September 30th. Dogs on a leash are allowed on the beach during the off-season, from Oct. 1st to March 1st.
