Tampa International Airport (TPA) pet relief areas are located inside and outside the terminal. Service animal relief areas are available after the security screening checkpoints at every airside. On Airsides A, C, E and F, portions of outdoor smoking areas on the gate levels and other spots have been transformed into animal-friendly oases, complete with synthetic grass, drinking stations and even faux fire hydrants. In addition, relief areas for pets/service animals around the Main Terminal are located in the grassy areas across the vehicle drives of the arrival (baggage claim) and departure (ticketing) areas. Passengers should contact their airlines for specific policies and fares for transporting pets in cargo or for traveling with a pet or service animal. Passengers should contact TSA for information on security screening for a pet or service animal.
