South Bend International Airport (SBN) pet relief areas are located inside the terminal. Consisting of a shaded patch of artificial turf, the pet relief area serves as a convenient addition to the airport for travelers with service and other animals and allows traveling pets the opportunity to relieve themselves while getting some fresh air. The outdoor area, enclosed by a chain link fence, is located just past the security checkpoint in Concourse A near Gate 4. It is open whenever the security checkpoint is open. Pets are to remain leashed at all times when in the Pet Relief Area. Passengers should contact their airlines for specific policies and fares for transporting pets in cargo or for traveling with a pet or service animal. Passengers should contact TSA for information on security screening for a pet or service animal.
