San Francisco International Airport (SFO) pet relief areas are located inside and outside the terminals. Animal Relief Areas provide essential elements for animals in transit, such as drinking areas with bowls and garbage areas with mutt mitt dispensers. Situated in fully fenced and landscaped areas with accessibility for the disabled, Animal Relief Areas are available 24 hours a day.

With the exception of service animals, pets in the airport terminals must be kenneled and ready for travel. Service animals are permitted on AirTrain. Leashed animals are permitted in other areas of the Airport, such as Animal Relief Areas. Before traveling, ask your airline about required veterinary papers, kennel sizes and restrictions.
