Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RTIA) pet relief areas are located inside and outside the terminal. The airport has one indoor pet relief area, conveniently located post-security on the second floor of the terminal building, between the Concourses in the High Mountain Marketplace. As it is fully enclosed, this area is also suitable for those traveling with cats. In addition, the airport has two outdoor dog parks to serve their four-legged passengers. The Bark Parks are fully fenced, with ADA accessibility, running water, mutt mitts to clean up after dogs, a fire hydrant and a canopy for inclement weather. The original Gate K-9 Bark Park is located north of Baggage Claim. Exit Door D by ground transportation and follow the sidewalk paw prints to the Bark Park. A second Bark Park is located south of the terminal building, just outside of the Southwest Airlines Ticket Counter and boasts another nearly 700 sq. ft. of space. Passengers should contact their airlines for specific policies and fares for transporting pets in cargo or for traveling with a pet or service animal. Passengers should contact TSA for information on security screening for a pet or service animal.
