The Asiana Airlines pet policy is as follows:
Pets (dogs, cats and pet birds only) are accepted in the aircraft cabin.
The weight of the pet (including the cage) must be 7 kg or less.
Each adult passenger may bring 1 pet into the cabin and 2 pets as checked baggage, Children are not allowed to travel with pets in the cabin. (only 1 bird per cage).
Pets may be transported as checked baggage if the pet’s size exceeds the cabin baggage specifications.
Pregnant pets, foul smelling pets, ferocious dogs (attack dogs and other fierce animals), and birds of prey may not be transported.
Certain breeds of dogs are prohibited.
Pets are not allowed if the sum of the cage length, width, and height exceeds 285 cm or if the total weight of the pet and cage exceeds 45 kg.
Pets may be restricted from being transported as checked baggage during cold weather for the pet’s health and safety.
Checked-in transport of short-nosed animals is being discontinued due to health and safety risks. (Starting July 1, 2019).
Taking a pet to a foreign country involves preparation and planning far in advance of your departure date. Requirements for pet travel to a foreign country are set by the destination country. If you are you traveling to another country and bringing along your pet you’ll need to meet the animal health requirements of the country you are visiting.
