The AeroMexico pet policy is as follows:
Only cats and dogs are allowed in the cabin.
You can only fly with your pet in the cabin on flights with a maximum duration of 6 hours.
The pet must travel in the same flight as its owner.
Only one pet per passenger is allowed.
The maximum weight allowed for the pet is 9 kg, including the carrier or container weight, with exception to emotional support and/or service pets.
The pets that do not meet the requirements to travel on board the cabin will be accepted as checked-in pets, subject to availability. Only dogs, cats, and cocks will be admitted. Any other animals such as rodents, fish, reptiles, etc., must be checked in through Aeromexico Cargo.
The maximum weight allowed for checked-in pets is 45 kg, including the cage or carrier. Pets that weigh more will be transported via Aeromexico Cargo.
The pet must travel on the same flight as its owner.
Pets checked-in as luggage will not be accepted onboard our E190 aircraft.
Brachycephalic dogs and cats experience breathing or temperature-regulation problems; therefore, if you have one of these pets, they are not permitted to travel as checked-in luggage.
If you need to check-in birds for their transportation, you must present a zoosanitary certificate for animal export (CZE) as well as other requirements.
If you travel from Mexico to London, you can only check-in your pet through Aeroméxico Cargo.
Aeromexico accepts emotional-support pets onboard their flights, in compliance with Air Carrier Access Act.
Taking a pet to a foreign country involves preparation and planning far in advance of your departure date. Requirements for pet travel to a foreign country are set by the destination country. If you are you traveling to another country and bringing along your pet you’ll need to meet the animal health requirements of the country you are visiting.
