OFF-LEASH DOG BEACH. Gillson Dog Beach is located at the south end of Gillson Park in Wilmette, IL. South Entrance: Sheridan Rd & Michigan Ave.Open Daily: 6 am-10:30 pm. Dogs must have a permit to use the Dog Beach and must be on leash at all times in the park while on their way to the dog beach. All other times they may be off-leash. To use the Dog Beach owners must purchase a tag for their dog. Dog Beach applications can be processed at the Admin Office, Community Recreation Center and Lakeview during regular business hours. Permit tags are good for one year.
