TransPennine Express is a British train operating company running a regular express regional railway, and intercity services between the major cities of Northern England as well as Scotland. The franchise operates all its services to and through Manchester covering three main routes. The service provides rail links for major towns and cities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Sheffield, Hull, Leeds, York, Scarborough, Middlesbrough and Newcastle. Pets travel on board for free. Passengers may be accompanied by up to two dogs on the train and they must be kept on a lead for the duration of the journey. Smaller animals must be kept in a pet carrier. Pets must not sit on tables or seats.
