London North Eastern Railway (LNER), formerly Virgin Trains East, is a British train operating company that operates the InterCity East Coast franchise. LNER operates long-distance inter-city services on the East Coast Main Line, which runs from London King’s Cross to North East England and Scotland. LNER offers full Aberdeen & Inverness services as well as intermediate stops between Edinburgh & Aberdeen. LNER manages 11 stations itself and its trains call at 53 stations in total. Up to two dogs, cats or other small domestic animals can jump, hop and bound on board without having to pay a penny. Pets must be kept out of the aisles, on leads, and off of seats. For each additional pet, you may have to pay up to a maximum of £5 for each journey. First class ticket holders with assistance dogs, and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome to catch forty winks or chill out (with their owners in the First Class Lounges).
Taking a pet to a foreign country involves preparation and planning far in advance of your departure date. Requirements for pet travel to a foreign country are set by the destination country. If you are you traveling to another country and bringing along your pet you’ll need to meet the animal health requirements of the country you are visiting.
