Oregon State Parks Pet Policy: Pets are welcome in Oregon State Parks, but must be confined by the owner or on a leash not more than six feet long, and kept under physical control at all times. Exceptions: in a designated off-leash area; inside your vehicle, tent, or pet-friendly yurt or cabin. Pets (even on a leash) are not allowed in Dabney State Recreation Area; on the Trail of Ten Falls at Silver Falls State Park; or in the formal gardens at Shore Acres State Park. Some campgrounds have off-leash areas for pets. Pets are welcome on most ocean beaches, however they must be leashed if you are within the boundaries of a state park and a leash carried with you at all times on the beach. Pets are not permitted on some beaches or at certain times of the year (even on a leash) to protect wildlife, such as western snowy plovers.
