Located at the north end of Civic Center Park, 100 Civic Center Dr., Newport Beach, CA 92660, the city’s only dog park has two separate areas of play for big and small dogs, benches, shade. AstroTurf, dirt areas, and water fountains for dogs and their humans. Located between Avocado Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard near Fashion Island, the park is open from 7 a.m. to dusk every day except Wednesday when it’s open 9 am. to dusk. Park users may either park in the public parking spaces on Avocado or visitor parking in the parking structure at the Civic Center (on Avocado, just south of San Miguel. Access via Civic Center and Avocado). If you choose to park in the parking structure, you will need to walk through the Civic Center Park and cross San Miguel via the new pedestrian bridge to reach the dog park.
