Located just north of Hawk Island Park in Scott Woods Park (a City of Lansing park), Soldan Dog Park is an off-leash dog park adjacent to Hawk Island. The park consists of more than 15 acres of diverse natural area complete with trails; a large pond for swimming dogs; an expansive open field; pet/human drinking fountains; and a free dog washing station. The dog park’s main entrance is through Hawk Island. You may also access the park from the west off the River Trail in Scott Woods. Directions: Drive to the very north end of Hawk Island parking area, and then walk a short distance (with your dog(s) on-leash), past the Hawk Island Maintenance Building, to the main entrance. The park requires the use of an electronic pass card (key FOB) for access into the dog park. You must present a current dog license and proof of rabies vaccination when applying for dog park pass.
