Dogs are welcome in the Sawtooth National Forest. However, they must remain under control, and it is strongly recommended that there are no more than two dogs per group. In developed campgrounds, some trail heads, and in the Sawtooth Wilderness, pets must be leashed. Dogs must be on leash while on trails in the Sawtooth Wilderness from July 1 through Labor Day.
