Redwood National and State Parks Campgrounds include four developed campgrounds:
Jedediah Smith Campground – Located in Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, 10 miles east of Crescent City, Calif. on Hwy 199. Sites: 86 tent or RV (no hook-ups); hiker/biker sites available. Facilities: Hot showers, ADA accessible restrooms, ADA accessible cabins, dump station, picnic tables, fire pits and barbeques, food lockers and trash receptacles, visitor center, campfire center. Vehicle Length Limit: 25-foot RV or 21-foot trailer.
Mill Creek Campground – Located in Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park, 7 miles south of Crescent City, Calif. on Hwy 101. Sites: 145 tent or RV (no hook-ups); hiker/biker sites available. Facilities: Hot showers, ADA accessible restrooms, dump station, picnic tables, firepits and barbeques, food lockers and trash receptacles, campfire center. Vehicle Length Limit: 28-foot RV or 24-foot trailer.
Elk Prairie Campground – Located in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, 6 miles north of Orick, Calif. on the Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway. Sites: 75 tent or RV (no hook-ups); hiker/biker sites available.
Facilities: Hot showers, ADA accessible restrooms, ADA accessible cabins, picnic tables, firepits and barbeques, food lockers and trash receptacles, visitor center, campfire center.
Vehicle Length Limit: 27-foot RV or 24-foot trailer.
Gold Bluffs Beach Campground – Located in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, 10 miles north of Orick, Calif. on Davison Road (unpaved, no trailers). Sites: 26 tent or RV (no hook-ups). Facilities: Solar showers, restrooms, wind shelters, picnic tables, firepits and barbeques, food lockers, and trash receptacles. Vehicle Length Limit: 24-foot RV, no trailers.
All campgrounds in Redwood National and State Parks are managed by the California State Parks. Reservations for the four campgrounds must be made through Reserve California, the California State Park reservation system. Pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed within all designated, road-accessible campgrounds; at designated picnic areas, parking areas, and public roads; and on Crescent, Gold Bluffs, Hidden, and Freshwater beaches (excluding dune habitat).
