Located at 898 State Park Road, Swanton, MD 21561 in Western Maryland’s Garrett County, Deep Creek Lake State Park encompasses over 1,800 acres and adjoins Deep Creek Lake Natural Resources Management Area and its 3,900-acre manmade lake.The day-use area includes the park’s waterfront and picnic areas. There are two guarded swimming beaches and one mile of lakefront access. Dogs are allowed to swim from shoreline in all areas except swimming beach, docks or fishing piers. Dogs are also allowed in day-use area and lake (except for sandy portion of swimming beach area from Memorial Day weekend until after Labor Day). Please keep in mind that the Garrett County Leash Law applies in the park.
